Coy Delmar King, age 78 years, 8 months, and 9 days, of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024 and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 16, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Malachi Barnett officiating. Burial was in the King Cemetery.

He was born January 4, 1946, to the late Edgar King and Cynthia Cox King. Coy retired from the K&T Railway where he worked his way through the ranks and became a conductor and track foreman. In recent years one of his favorite past times was carpentry in which he took great pride and joy in his work. He made gliders, swings, and any other challenging designs his children, grandchildren, and daughter in-laws would discover. He was faithful to his church where he served as a deacon at Davis Hill Church of God and counted each one as a family member. Coy enjoyed beating everyone in cornhole, camping, fishing, evening drives through barren fork with the love of his life, but most of all spending time with his family whom he was wholly devoted.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and sister, Gladys Yancey.

Survivors include the love of his life, Sharon Cooper King, to whom he was married 58 years, children, Coy Anthony King, and wife, Joy, Penny Roberts, and husband, Johnny, Joshua Adam King, and wife, Lisa, and Mason King, brother, Donald King, Sister, Connie Yancey, and husband, Kenneth, grandchildren, Blayden King, Aspen King, Shawna Barnett, and husband, Malachi, Tylan King, Max King, Whitney Orick, and husband, Jonathan, Tyler Carson, and fiancé, Erika, great grandchildren, Easton, Jaxson, Brody, Boston, Renley, Grayson, and Emmerson, several nieces and nephews, and his fur babies, Honey and Molly.
