Darrell Dewayne King, age 67, of Strunk, Kentucky passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, at his home and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 7, 2025, in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Silerville Cemetery.

He was born in Oneida, Tennessee, to Everett King and Mattie Davis King. Darrel was a store clerk at Cleamon and Clarence Strunks store. He enjoyed gardening, especially raising a large vegetable garden, and listening to gospel music.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Gary Dewayne King, brothers, Benny King, Gary King and Lonnie King, and sisters, Wilda King and Devonda Adkins.

Survivors include brother, Rick King, sister, Virginia Strunk, and husband, Benny, and several nieces and nephews.
