William David Taylor, age 80 years, 1 month, and 17 days passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at his home in Parkers Lake and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Friday, September 30, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Braxton King officiating. Burial was in the Mill Creek Cemetery.

He was born August 10, 1942 in Parkers Lake to James David "Dave" Taylor and Rae Martin Taylor. David graduated from Cumberland College and Xavier University before beginning his teaching career with the Springsboro, Ohio school system. During his career, he coached basketball and track and field. In his spare time, David enjoyed farming, reading, and watching sports. He also loved fishing and hunting.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, Daniel Earl Taylor, Philip Taylor, Tommy Taylor, and Jim Taylor, and a granddaughter, Faith Elizabeth Medecke.

Survivors include his children, Lynell Medecke and her husband, Jeremy, of Cincinnati and David Taylor of Parkers Lake, grandchildren, Hunter Daniel Taylor and Alyssa Rae Medecke, and the mother of his children, Jeanette Taylor.

Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of David Taylor.
