Delta Mae Boyatt Tucker age 81 years, 3 months, and 13 days of Strunk, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Cox and Bro. Larry Watson officiating. Burial followed in the Otter Creek Cemetery. She was born December 31, 1934 in Oneida, Tennessee to Charles Newton King and Delphia (Spradlin) King. Delta was a member of the Ross Grove United Baptist Church. She had worked as a Teacher's aide with Whitley City Elementary School for many years. Delta was a loving mother and friend who enjoyed spending her time with her family. She also enjoyed being outdoors, travelling, gardening, tending to her flowers, and bird watching. Preceding her in death are her parents; her first husband, Landis Boyatt; her second husband, Bud Tucker; infant brothers, Wilburn and Forest King; a brother, Loyd King; and sisters, Georgia Ross, Virgina Baird, and Betty Bowen. Survivors include her sons, Tim Boyatt and wife, Sherry, and Mike Boyatt and wife, Teresa, all of Strunk, Kentucky; daughters, Beverly Chapman and husband, Alan, of Stearns, Kentucky, Kathy Waters and husband, Guy, of Strunk, Kentucky, and Teresa Ball and partner, Dean Musgrove, also of Strunk, Kentucky; brothers, Logan King and wife, Sheila, of Somerset, Kentucky, and Coye King and wife, Sudie, of London, Kentucky; sisters, Ruth VanOver and husband, Gilbert Jr., of Stearns, Kentucky, Myrtle Burkett and husband, Garvis, of Somerset, Kentucky, and Wanda Gregory and husband, Donald of Covington, Indiana; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Dub Strunk. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mrs. Delta Boyatt Tucker.
