Dennis Ray Tindle, 67, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away July 4, 2024, at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.

He was born May 29,1957, to the late Evan and Bonnie Irby Tindle in Meridian, Mississippi.

Dennis was united in marriage to Jennifer Manning Tindle, on October 21, 1989, in Stearns, Kentucky.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Devan (Randall) Smith and one son, Grant Tindle; two grandchildren, Lawson Brooks and Emersyn Ann Smith; and two bonus granddaughters, Madison and Abigail Smith. Also surviving is one sister, Kathy (Ronnie) Turner, one brother-in-law, Stuart (Beverly) Manning, niece; Emily (Nick) Walker, great-niece Eleanor Walker, nephew; Douglas Manning, and father-in-law; Conley Manning

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law; Sandra Manning.

During his childhood years, Dennis and his family relocated to McCreary County Kentucky from Mississippi. Dennis graduated from McCreary County High School, where he played basketball. He signed with Auburn University in 1975 to continue his basketball career.

Dennis was a lifelong businessman, working alongside his father operating the K&T Railway in Stearns; he then worked in the mortgage and lending industry for over 25 years. He strived to put others first, helping them reach their goals, providing continuous support through business, friendship, and encouragement.

He was strong in his faith and his walk with Christ. He was a devoted member and servant of First Baptist Church of Somerset. Dennis was also a former board member of the Kentucky Baptist Foundation, where he proudly and faithfully served.

Dennis was a loving and caring husband, father, and friend to many. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Somerset. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm with Dr. French Harmon and Bro. David Pendley officiating.

Dennis will be laid to rest in a private graveside service at Somerset Cemetery.
