Donald Earl Kennedy, age 67 years, 3 months, and 11 days, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 at UK Medical Center, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born February 3, 1950 in Hazard, Kentucky to Arthur Kennedy and Mary Yancey. Donald enjoyed his family, meeting new friends, watching Joseph Prince Ministries, fishing and trading and bartering. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Penny Taylor Kennedy, one brother, Allen Kennedy and one sister, Lisa Baisden. Survivors include two sons, Donald F. Kennedy and his wife, Michelle, of Whitley City, Kentucky, David Sands and his wife, Wanda, of Lorraine, Ohio, daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Delap and her husband, Anthony, of Whitley City, Kentucky, Jessie Lynn Summers, and her husband Tony, of West VA., Casaundra Doran of Georgia, one brother, Kenny Kennedy, of Ohio, and one sister, Sheila Jones and her husband of Monticello, Kentucky, ten grandchildren, many other family members and many friends. In keeping with Donald's wishes, he was cremated, A celebration of Life Reception held Saturday May 20, 2017 from 1-5 pm at Stearns Clubhouse Pavillion. HIckman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Donald Kennedy.
