Dorris Ann Bauer age 87, of Stearns, Kentucky, mother of Billie Duvall, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Graveside service was held Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 11:00 am CST in the Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Dorris was born on September 2, 1937, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to Thomas Green and Thelma Lizenbee Green. She was a devoted volunteer with hospice for 13 years, offering her compassion and support to those in need. Dorris had a deep love for reading, sewing, and caring for others. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Fred E. Bauer.

Dorris is survived by her daughters, Billie Duvall of Stearns and Sherry Mannon of Desoto County, Mississippi; her brother, Meton Green, and his wife, Barbara, of Kankakee, Illinois; as well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
