Edward Artman Perkins, age 88 years and 22 days, of Stearns, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 in Corbin, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Monday, April 17, 2017 at 1:30pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Anderson officiating. Burial was in the Barrenfork Cemetery. He was born March 24, 1929 in Marshes Siding, Kentucky to Elzic "Buck" Perkins and Amanda Stephens Perkins. Ed was a retired machine operator, having worked for Doer Corporation for forty years, and was a member of the Whitley City First Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, Homer and Dewey, and sisters, Myrtle, Flora, and Della. Survivors include his wife, Elva Perkins, of Stearns, Kentucky, sons, Larry Perkins and his wife, Brenda, of Oneida, Tennessee, Russell Perkins and his wife, Martha, of Revelo, Kentucky and Gary Perkins of Walton, Kentucky, daughter, Sharon Perkins of Stearns, Kentucky, four grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Edward Perkins. .
