Ervin Walker, Jr, age 85 years, 7 months and 23 days passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at his home in Pine Knot, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Monday, January 9, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Bryant officiating. Burial was in the Walker Cemetery. He was born May 13, 1931 in the Pleasant Run community to Ervin Walker, Sr. and Bertha Ross Walker. Junior was a veteran of the US Army and had made his living in the log woods and sawmills of our area. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, mowing, fox hunting, and riding his four wheeler. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, George Walker, Fred Walker, Hobert Walker, and Arthur Walker, and sisters, Nora Cox, and Mary Jackson. Survivors include his daughter, Paula Ray Martin of Pine Knot, Kentucky, a special niece, Ethel Rios, grandchildren, Stephanie Cothron, and her husband, Danie, and Christopher Baird, and several nieces and nephews.
