Etta Lynn Owens age 55 years and 5 months of Whitley City, Kentucky passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Oneida, Tennessee. Funeral services were held Friday, November 27, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Allen Coffey officiating. Burial followed in the Owens Family Cemetery. She was born June 23, 1960 in Somerset, Kentucky to Silas and Wanda (Yancey) Owens. Lynn was a member of the Day Ridge United Baptist Church. She enjoyed flea marketing and visiting with friends and family.. Preceding her in death are her grandparents, Enoch and Tilda (Hughes) Owens and Edd and Cana (Vanover) Yancey; a special aunt, Hazel Vanover; a special uncle, Samuel Owens; brother Curtis Douglas Owens who passed away December 14, 1999 at the age of 32, to whom she referred to a her special little boy; husband, Roger Eads; and father-in-law, Hobert Eads. Survivors include her parents, Silas and Wanda Owens of Whitley City, Kentucky; a daughter, Felicia Johnson, who has since passed; a grandson Oliver Johnson; brothers, Wymon Owens and wife, Angie and Silas Owens, Jr. and wife, Kathy; a very special nephew, Wymon Owens, Jr.; a stepson, Chris Greens; mother-in-law, Retha Eads; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Eads; a brother-in-law, Gary Eads; aunts and uncles, Bonnie Owens Wilson, Reed Yancey, Doyle Yancey and wife, Ruby, Glenna Stanton and husband, Novin, and Elva Hughes and husband, Charlie; a nephew, W.L. Owens; a niece, Latosha; great-nephews, Logan, Adrian, and Mason, a great-niece, Bryana Page; and lots of friends. She loved everyone. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mrs. Lynn Owens.
