Eva Strunk age 84 years, 5 months, and 9 days of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at her home. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 10, 2016, at 8:00pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Willis Troxell and Bro. Stanley Taylor officiating. Committal services were held Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 11:00am at the Jones Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were, Shannon Hamlin, James King, Terry McKee, Jerry King II, Tony Worley, Adam McKee, and Trevor King. She was born in Strunk, Kentucky on March 28, 1932 the daughter of Clarence and Mable (Strunk) Strunk. Eva was a member of the Otter Creek Baptist Church. She was a retired store clerk, who enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family. Eva will be remembered as a super caring mother who sacrificed for her family and friends with a gracious spirit. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Kenneth King, Lonnie Walker, and Kenneth Strunk; son, Lonnie Walker, Jr.; daughter, Rosalie Hamlin; a son-in-law, Eddie McKee; brothers, Denton Strunk, Cleamon Strunk, and Luster Strunk; and a sister, Edith Stephens. Survivors include her sons, J.D. King and wife, Pearl of Rockwood, Tennessee and Jerry King and wife, Darlene of Stearns, Kentucky; daughters, Joan McKee of Beulah Heights, Kentucky, and Zella Worley and husband, Tony of Stearns, Kentucky; a granddaughter, Lonna Faye Walker whom she raised as her own child of Pine Knot, Kentucky; a sister, Letha Carter of Strunk, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Hickman Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Eva Strunk.
