Fines Branscum, age 67, of Walton, Kentucky, passed away at his home on May 31, 2019. Funeral services were held at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, Kentucky on June 8, 2019. Burial was in the Richwood Cemetery in Richwood, Kentucky. Fines was born at Wolfe Ridge, Kentucky on July 9, 1951. His Parents were Hartman Branscum and Pollie Keith Branscum. He attended school at the Wolfe Ridge One Room School and later on in the Smithtown Elementary. Early in his life he left McCreary County and moved to Sidney, Ohio, where he worked at the Stollee Factory. A few years later he moved to Covington, Kentucky and drove a truck. Around 1983 he started work at Northern Kentucky House Moving Company, and he ran this company until his death. In 2001 he won an award for Moving the Longest Building in the US, which was a building at the Butler County Airport. His first customer at the moving company was Rev. Floyd Race, and Fines did not tell Floyd that he was his first customer, all while Floyd did not share that he was a preacher. A couple of years later this information was shared with the two and the men stayed friends for years. Fines was preceded in death by: his parents, Hartman and Pollie Branscum; his daughter, Brandie; two brothers, Doyle and Infant brother Carl Dean. Fines is survived by: his ex-wife, Beverly Branscum; his son, Ray Branscum and his partner Brandy of Verona; two daughters, Tania Moeller of Walton, Debbie and her partner Tim Gries of Fort Thomas; three sisters, Carolyn and her partner Ron Hamlin of Middletown, Ohio, Betty and her Partner Don Saylor of Covington, Dorris and her partner Tom King of Burlington; Two brothers, Donald Branscum and his partner Virginia of Sidney, Ohio, Paul and his partner Sylvia of Stearns, two uncles, Naaman Branscum and his wife Ina, Kelly Branscum; and several nephews, nieces , and a host of friends.
