John Frank Hill, age 76 years, 4 months, and 29 days, of the Hilltop community passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at his home. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Braxton King officiating. Burial was in the Hill Family Cemetery. He was born March 25 1941 in Worley Hilltop to Bill Hill and Ruth Godsey Hill. Frank had been a mechanic before his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gathering ginseng, and keeping honey bees. He took most pleasure in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Lucy Ann Young Hill, a brother, David Hill, and a sister, Kitty Freels. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Hill of Stearns, Kentucky and Johnnie Hill and his wife, Joy, of Helenwood, Tennessee, three daughters, Barbara Stephens and her husband, Mike, of Whitley City, Kentucky, Sherri Strunk and her husband, JR, and Terri Stephens and her husband, Rick, both of Stearns, Kentucky, brothers, Don Hill of Stearns, Kentucky and Steve Hill of Whitley City, Kentucky, sisters, Sue Hill and Fayrene Brunett and her husband, Chris, both of Stearns, Kentucky, Helen Foster of Winfield, Tennessee, and Sharon Staley and her husband, Dewayne, of Nancy, Kentucky, twelve grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
