Gertie Vanover age 93 years, 1 month, and 1 day, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Loveland Healthcare in Loveland, Ohio.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Ridener officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Knob Cemetery.

She was born November 6, 1930, in Sawyer, Kentucky, to Joe Hamilton and Elsie Morgan Hamilton. Gertie was a member of the Socialville Baptist Church in Mason, Ohio. She loved and excelled at quilting, gardening, and growing flowers. But most of all, Gertie loved spending time with her precious family.

Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers, Oscar Hamilton, Cornelius Hamilton, Herman Hamilton, Paris Hamilton, William Hamilton, and an infant brother, sister, Minnie Vanover and two infant sisters.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-five years, Hearl Vanover, son, Larry Vanover and his wife, Marti, daughters, Lisa Midkiff and her husband, Jeff, and Marsha Saner and her husband, Ray, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
