Gloria Dawn Hughes LaBonte, age 78, of Whitley City, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset.

Funeral services were held Friday, September 12, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Burial was in the Holloway Cemetery.

Born on January 24, 1947, in Whitley City, she was the daughter of the late Martin Hughes and Ailene Violet Holloway Hughes. Gloria dedicated many years of her life working in production at Energy Concepts, where she later served as Quality Assurance Manager. Known for her love of simple pleasures, she especially enjoyed taking car trips and spending time at flea markets, always appreciating the joy of the hunt and the charm of hidden treasures.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Jamie Foster and Martin Foster.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband, James LaBonte, and her sister, Martha New. Her memory will be cherished by those who knew her for her resilience, her quiet strength, and her appreciation for life's small joys.
