Howard Duane Ross, age 71, husband of Rose Ross, of Whitley City, passed away November 4th, 2024 at his home, and was placed into the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Following his wishes, cremation was chosen. There are no services at this time.

Howard Duane was born to Howard Ray and Shirley Louise (Overby) Ross, on December 11th, 1952, in Muncie, Indiana. He loved to be outdoors, especially hunting, and fishing. Howard worked as a truck driver and loved watching Nascar. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his father, his son, James Broome, his brother Rick Ross, and his grandson, David Patrick Trager.

He is survived by his mother, his wife, Rose (Banks) Ross, his sons, Brian, and Robert Ross, his daughters, June Hayes, Donna McMillan, and Renee Ross Hamby, his brother, Gilbert Ross, his sisters, Kathy, Judy, and Anita, sixteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
