Imogene Jones Walls, age 89 of Nancy, Kentucky, formerly of McCreary County, passed away on September 19, 2024 and was placed into the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Imogene was the daughter of the late Johnny and Nola Hall Jones of Hilltop, Kentucky. She was born on February 27th, 1935 in Wayne County. She was a member of the Ross Grove Baptist Church at Mine 18 in Stearns, Kentucky.

Imogene is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Ninville "Nig" Walls, her son Ronald Walls, and her daughter Barbara Foster and by 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

She is survived by five children: Donald Walls of Pine Knot, KY, Wanda and Robert Duncan of Strunk, KY, Wilma Hicks of Russell Co., KY, Laura and Darrell Roy of Liberty, KY, Debbie Schwab of Newberry Springs, CA, her grandson Joey Thomas and his wife Julie (whom she raised as her son from an infant), her grandchildren, Josh Duncan, NaKitah Woodard, Daphane Merriman, Emily Williams, John Walls, Damen Walls, Daniel Walls, Nolena Tanner, Brenda Schwab, Rebecca Schwab, Daisy Schwab, Frank Schwab, Desiree Schwab, Brittany Strunk, Angel Young, Chris Walls, Billie Jo Bolin, Heather Helton, Wayne Keith, Sharon Godsey, and a very special grand-daughter Julie Thomas, who she viewed as a daughter, her brother Tony Jones of Lorain, OH, and numerous great-grandchildren.

In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 24th, at 11:00am in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Angel Cemetery. The family received friends on Monday, September 23rd, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to help complete burial expenses.
