James Jeffries, age 79, of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 29, 2026, in Oneida, Tennessee, and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Ryder Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Rosie Jeffries; his beloved wife, May Jeffries; two brothers, William Jeffries and Albert Jeffries; and three sisters, Gertrude Hardin, Pearl Smith, and Pauline Smith.

He leaves behind his son, James Adam Jeffries, and his devoted caregiver, Daisy Turner, along with other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
