James Howard "T" Trammell, age 74, of Strunk, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. He was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Davis Hill Church of God. Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery.

Born on October 19, 1950, in Oneida, Tennessee, to Joseph E. Trammell and Clara D. King Trammell, T was a proud graduate of Pine Knot High School. His dedication to service was evident in his distinguished 20-plus years in the United States Army and the Kentucky National Guard. After his military retirement, T continued to work tirelessly, contributing his skills in plumbing, electrical, and construction work with organizations such as the Richard Musgrove Company, the Pine Knot Housing Project, Outdoor Venture Cooperation, and the Bluegrass Army Depot. He was a man of few words but of great wisdom.

T was a proud member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, a distinction he valued deeply. His greatest passions were his family, his fiancé and best friend, Pat King, and his close circle of friends. Most importantly, T cherished his faith and considered himself truly blessed as a "Child of the King."

T is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph E. Trammell and Clara D. King Trammell; his brothers Bob Trammell, Ronald Trammell, Freddie Ray Trammell, and Joseph E. Trammell, Jr.; and his sister, Norma Sue Neal.

He leaves behind his loving fiancé, Pat King; her children, Jess and Tina; her grandchildren; his best buddy, Star; Brandon, Miss Charlie, and Prosper; his brothers, Homer (Wanda) Trammell and Kenny L. (Elveria) Trammell; his sister, Joyce Kidd; his sister-in-law, Judy Trammell; nephews, Fred, Joseph Anthony, Michael, Ronnie, Brian, Jamie, Joseph, Chris, Zachery, Jonah, Jonathan, Logan, Dakota, and Grayson, nieces; Tina Michelle, Anna, Kim, Becky, Tami, Joy, Missy, Kelly, Kendra, Kourtney, and Skylar, and many other great nieces and nephews and their families.

James Howard "T" Trammell's legacy of love, faith, and dedication to others will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
