Jeremy Ray "Cornbread" Cordell, age 40 years, 0 months, and 18 days, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at the Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Monday, January 20, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. George Alan Coffey officiating. Burial was in the Sherd-Dobbs Cemetery. Jeremy was born December 30, 1979 in Campbell County, Kentucky to Jim and Diana (Wright) Cordell. Jeremy was a certified welder for Henderson, LLC, and was of the Baptist faith. Jeremy enjoyed fishing, hunting, family gatherings, and loved his little girl that he leaves behind. Survivors include his parents, his spouse, Dana (Gibson) Cordell, his daughter, Makenna Cordell, a grandmother, Geraldine Cordell, of Stearns, Kentucky, two brothers, Jimmie Cordell Sr., and wife Shelley, Venson Cordell III, and wife Chaslin, both of Stearns, Kentucky, along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, whom he loved dearly. Preceding him in death is his brother, Jerry Lee Cordell. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Jeremy Cordell.
