Jesse D. Crabtree, devoted husband of Katheryn (Slaven) Crabtree, passed away on June 16, 2015 at the age of 86 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Visitation was private followed by a graveside service on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 12:30pm at the Methodist Cemetery with Bro. Robert Hatfield and Bro. Lowell Dolen officiating. Jesse was born in Glomar, Kentucky and began his career working in the coal mines, before going on to serve in the United States Marine Corps, during the Korean War. Jesse went on to work on the railroad prior to becoming employed by General Motors, where he remained until he retired after 30 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse W. and Florence (Bell) Crabtree; daughters, Sue Barker and Elizabeth (Crabtree) Vice; and great granddaughter, Jaden Kranpitz-Tabb. Jesse will be missed by his surviving wife, Katheryn; a son, Danny Crabtree; and two daughters, Donna Tabb and husband, David, and Ruth Lynn Crabtree. He will also be missed by his nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and his friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the American Lung Association, 55 Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, Illinois 60601.
