Jimmy William Martin, age 76 years, 9 months, 15 days, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022 at his home in Pine Knot and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Peters officiating. Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery.

He was born December 29, 1945 in Pine Knot to Fred Martin and Truie Hamlin Martin. Jim served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a member of the Upper Marsh Creek Baptist Church. Jim owned and operated Martin Logging Company, along with his family. He loved farming and raising cows. But he especially enjoyed spending time with his beloved family.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, Bobby Martin and Billy Martin, and a sister, Anna Rogers.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Martin, whom he married May 28, 1969, a son, Todd Martin and his wife, Jennifer, a daughter, Jill Kidd and her husband, Coy, all of Pine Knot, a sister, Norma King and her husband, Willis, of Pine Knot, grandchildren, Josh Bartley, Kiley Martin, Kennedy Genoe, and Luke William Martin, great grandchildren, Baylor, Leighton, Finley, Claire, and Vivian, and nephews, Mike Martin, and Danny Rogers.

Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Jim Martin.
