Kathy Lynn Strunk Woods, sister of Pam Wilson, of Whitley City, passed away on July 12th, at her home and was placed into the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Following the wishes of the family, cremation was chosen. No services are planned at this time.

Kathy was born to Elbert Strunk and Edith Owens Strunk on January 14th, 1961 in Somerset, KY and grew up in the Smithtown area of Stearns. Kathy graduated from McCreary Central High School with the first graduating class of 1979, where she played Girl's Basketball, then graduating from the University of Kentucky, and then attending the University of Kentucky's School of Pharmacy, graduating with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Kathy worked and retired as a pharmicist from Walgreens Home Infusion. She loved spending time outdoors, growing her flowers, spending time with her dogs; Nikki, Missy, and Mollie, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her step-father Theo Abbott, her infant brother, Morris Strunk, her sisters, Joanne Perry and Pat Cole, and her brothers-in-law, George "Buddy" Wilson, Darvin Perry, and Deward Cole.

She is survived by her sister, Pam Wilson of Whitley City, and many nieces and nephews.
