Kenneth Coffey passed away from this life at his home surrounded by his loving family on January 15, 2025 and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Spradlin Cemetery in Bell Farm.

Kenneth was born on June 20, 1946 at Co-Operative Kentucky to Herbert and Lillie Dobbs Coffey. He was a combat disabled veteran of the U.S Army and served as a marine engineer in the republic of Vietnam from 1966-1967. He was then assigned to the U.S Army Reserves to finish out his service. He received an honorable discharge on June 21, 1968 with Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Sharp Shooter Badge (M-14 rifle). He retired as a specialist 4 at Fort Eustis, Virginia.

He was a faithful member and deacon of East Appletree United Baptist Church.

His greatest joy was his grandkids. He loved spending time with them. He attended all their school functions, and enjoyed watching UK basketball. They would often spend time just riding around. He also enjoyed spending time with his buddies Quenton Tapley, Mike Kennedy, and Jerry King.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Lloyd W. Coffey, Dallas Coffey, and Daniel Coffey, sisters Wanda Burke, Elsie Gregory, Lois Koger and Doris Coffey, nephews Nelson A. Coffey and Ricky J. Coffey, a niece Mellissa L.Coffey and 2 great nephews Austin Durke and Eric Burke.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years Mable Hill Coffey, of Strunk, Ky., daughters Thuresa S. Cash, husband Michael, of Bronston, Ky., Alisha J. Cooley, husband William, of Somerset, Ky., 4 grandchildren, Mikayla K. Cash, of Bronston, Ky., John M. Cash, and Michaela P. Neal, of Strunk, Ky., W. Kenton Cooley, of Somerset, Ky., Kayden W. Cooley, of Somerset, Ky., brothers Kelley Coffey, and wife, Janet, of Muncie, In., and Bobby Coffey, of Stearns, Ky.
