Kerri Lynn New age 52, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the Strunk Cemetery.

She was born June 7, 1973 in Marshes Siding, Kentucky. Kerri was a member of Day Ridge United Baptist Church. Kerri loved animals, growing flowers and gardening. She also loved riding scooters and four wheelers.

Preceding her in death was her mother, Thelma New, grandparents, Coy and Ima New, and aunt, Linda Sue Selvidge.

Leaving behind to grieve her loss aunts, Kathy New, Ruth Taylor, Judy Clark, and Lena Owens and uncle, Leon New, eight first cousins and numerous second cousins.

The passing of Kerri is mourned by all who knew and loved her, but we know she leaves many wonderful memories behind. We hope these will be of comfort to you in your time of sorrow.
