Lawrence Allen "Jack" Phillips, age 66, of Whitley City, Kentucky passed away August 14, 2019 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. He was a loving husband to Wanda Phillips. Funeral services were held Monday, August 19, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Estel Jones officiating. Burial was in the Phillips Cemetery. He was born January 30, 1953 in McCreary County to Harrison James Phillips and Sara Mae Kidd Phillips. Lawrence was a man of faith who loved going to church and spending time outside. Preceding him in death were his parents and six brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Terry Phillips, one brother, Daniel James Phillips and his wife, Debbie, one living sister, Wilma Jean Wood, one special nephew, Ray Angel and Lana Perry, nieces, Lisa Watson and Larry Wilson, great nieces, Bramanda Watson and husband, Tyler Watson, one great nephew, Devin Wilson, many nieces and nephews, cousins, and family and friends with close cousin, Buster Miller. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Lawrence Phillips.
