Leamon Godsey, age 68 years, and 7 days, of Stearns, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Jean Waddle Hospice Center in Somerset, Kentucky. Funeral Services were held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Bryant officiating. Burial was in the Mountain View Cemetery. He was born October 17, 1949 in the Hill Top community of McCreary County, Kentucky to Robert Godsey and Lona Worley Godsey. Leamon was a retired custodian in the McCreary County School system, he also worked at Tecumseh for 24 years, and worked at Tombstone Junction in his younger years as an engineer. He was a member of Pleasant Run Church, Leamon was a dedicated family man who enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and flea marketing and an avid UK fan. Leamon especially enjoyed spending time with his grandbabies, family and friends. Preceding in his death were his parents, and his brother, Austin Godsey. Survivors include his wife, Ricki (Weaver) Godsey, of Stearns Kentucky, who married her "Honey Bunches of Oats" on February 9th, 1985, two daughters, Amanda Baird, and her husband, James, of Pine Knot Kentucky, and Lisa Jones, and her husband, Steven, of Stearns Kentucky, three grandchildren, Bethany, Tate and Emma, and three sisters, Theola Worley and her husband, Bob, of Pine Knot Kentucky, Molley Jones and her husband, Harold, of Stearns Kentucky, and Alice Neal and her husband, Danny, of Pine Knot Kentucky.
