Lena Irene "Rene" King, age 75, of Stearns, Kentucky passed away at her home and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

In keeping with her wish's cremation was chosen.

Lena was born on October 24, 1949, in Revelo, Kentucky, to Dillard and Pearl Watson. A retired Registered Nurse, Lena enjoyed reading, collecting recipes and rocks, hiking, gardening and clothes shopping. Above all, Lena was a devoted mother and cherished her time with her grandchildren.

Lena was preceded in death by her parents, Dillard and Pearl Watson; husband, Edwin Benton King Jr., her son, Jerry Wayne King; brothers, Jerry Watson, Leo Dolen, and Dennis Watson; sisters, Sue Watters, Maxine Crabtree, and Norma Jean Dolen; one grandchild, David Andrew Bruce, and one great-grandchild, Xavier Wayne King.

She is survived by daughter in-law, Lora King, her son, Crandall Dwight King (Carolyn); daughters, Teresa Kay King Bruce (Chris), and Patricia Ann King Slaven (Raven); sisters Joyce Gibson, Faye Watson and Misty Beaty; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and extended family.
