Lewis Leon Ball, age 80 years 8 months, and 15 days, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 in Somerset, Kentucky and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Memorial services were held Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 12:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Lewis was born July 7, 1943 in McCreary County, Kentucky to Charlie Ball and Hazel Taylor Ball. Since his retirement, he enjoyed farming and raising cattle. Lewis also enjoyed his sawmill, hunting and being outdoors. But his greatest pleasure came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, Hurstle Ball, Vasco Ball, Roy Ball, Randle Ball, and Boyd Ball, and a sister, Mildred Kempton.

Survivors include sons, Andrew Ball and Tosha, Lewis L. Ball, Jr. and his wife, Sheri, a daughter, Melissa Bennett and her husband, Kevin, grandchildren, Kevin Bennett and his wife, Chessa, Kristopher Bennett, Brett Bennett, Dakota Ball, Abigail Ball, Cayden Ball, and Hayley Ball, great grandchildren, Aidan, Alaina, Keith, and Travis, brothers, Delmar Ball and his wife, Wilda, and Kenneth Ball, and sisters, Shirley Lee, Thressia Key and her husband, Jim, Kathy Strunk, and Blanche Ball.
