Lewis Dewayne Perkins, nicknamed Perk, age 54, of Pine Knot, passed away on June 24th, 2024, and was placed into the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral services were held in the Higginbotham Cemetery on Thursday, June 27th, 2024 at 11:00am, with Bro. Bruce Dixon officiating. All of his family and friends, both past and present, were welcomed to attend.

Dewayne (Perk) was born on March 31st, 1970 to Lewis Ray Perkins and Wanda Faye (Vanover) Perkins in Somerset, Kentucky. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, playing football, listening to music, and watching Nascar. Dewayne was a down to earth and simple man who loved Jesus and his family.

He is preceded in death by his father, and his brother Kevin Perkins.

He is survived by his mother, his half-sister Teresa Garland, his daughter Amber Perkins-King and her husband Nick King of Strunk, his grandson Kendall King, and another grandson on the way.
