Lewis Ray Perkins age 67 years, 7 months, and 21 days of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Pioneer Community Hospital of Scott in Oneida, Tennessee. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 14, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Daniel Ridener officiating. Burial followed in the Higginbotham Cemetery. He was born May 21, 1948 in Parkers Lake, Kentucky to Henry Perkins and Julie (Garland) Perkins. Lewis enjoyed hunting and fishing. Preceding him in death are his parents; a son, Kevin Perkins; a brother, Brent Perkins;sisters, Irene Loy, Elsie Ridener, and Cora Perry; half brothers, Charlie, Ross, Wesley, Floyd, Earnest, and Henry Perkins; and half sisters, Alice Perkins, Lizzie Renfro, Durie Raines, Lucy Barnett, Amniel Vanover, Elsie Ridener, and Wilma Perkins. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Fay (Vanover) Perkins of Pine Knot, Kentucky; a son, Dwayne Perkins also of Pine Knot, Kentucky; a brother, Gilbert Perkins of Somerset, Kentucky; sisters, Doris Rickett of Burnside, Kentucky, Lana Perry of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Peggy Little of Somerset, Kentucky; and a granddaughter, Amber Perkins. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mr. Lewis Perkins.
