Linda Lynch, age 72 years, 11 months, and 7 days, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held Friday, July 9, 2021 in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Higginbotham Cemetery. She was born September 27, 1948, in Bell Glade, Florida to James Gilbert Wilson and Dean Swain Wilson. Mrs. Lynch worked in the mental health service for 25 years, as the regional director for Adanta in Whitley City for 22 years and retired in July 2001. During her time working at Adanta she received awards of special recognition for services in 2001 and employee of the year in 1986. Linda enjoyed reading, traveling, and listening to music. Most of all she loved being with her family. Preceding her in death was her loving husband Woodie Lynch, her parents, a brother, Silas "Sonny" Wilson, 2 sisters, Hilda Ross, and Shirley Warren, and 2 grandchildren, Holly Smith and Dustin Cole. Survivors include her children, Robert Allen Cole, Sharon Snyder, and Karen Jones, her sister, Barbara Wilson, her grandchildren, Terra, Brittany, Brandon, James, Austin, Brian, Desaree, Jason, Joey, Jonathan, Shania, and Catie, and 21 great grandchildren. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Linda Lynch.
