Linda Tapley, age 69 years, 10 months, and 29 days, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida Tennessee and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 22, 2021, in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Braxton King officiating. Burial followed in the Troxell Cemetery. She was born October 19, 1951, in Bald Knob, Kentucky to Charlie R. Tapley and Pearly Winchester Tapley. Linda was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and was a member of the Old Beech Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, family time, especially with her grandchildren, and watching westerns. She was a breast cancer survivor and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother's in-law, Leonard Phillips, and Tom Ammon, sister-in-law, Mrs. Albert Miller, brothers, Elbert Miller, and Billy Duncan, and wife, Betty, Harold, Edd, Paul, Bill, and Junior Tapley, sisters, Genell Holder, and husband, Joe Bill, Evelyn Watson Esmond, and Ruth Hollars, and husband, Glen. Survivors include sons, Stanley Charles Tapley, and fiancé, Julie Richardson, Daniel Brian Tapley, and wife, Jerica Tapley, daughter, Tonya Pearl Crabtree, and husband, Allen, brothers, James Henry Tapley, and Albert Miller, sister-in-law, Mrs. Elbert Miller, sisters, Volena Ammon, Dorothy Phillips, Imogene Sorrell, and husband, Bob, and Brenda Smith, and husband Larry, Donna Tapley Lowe, Goldie Tapley Baker, Gertrude Bunch Sams. Grandchildren, Megan Pearl Tapley (raised as her own), Katelyn Tapley, Sarah Tapley, Dillan Smith, Kimberly Crabtree, and fiancé, Zach Phillips, Dustin Crabtree, and wife, Miranda, Hailey Crabtree, Derica Hanna Lynn Tapley, Asher Tapley, and Gunner Tapley. Great grandchildren, Jayden Crabtree, Camden Crabtree, Alexis Crabtree, and Zepplin Cole Tucker. She was like a second mother to, David, Susie, William, Wendy, Bobby, Robert, Little Henry, Nikki, and Shawn. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Linda Tapley.
