Mary Magdalene Lamb, age 81 years, 3 months, and 5 days, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 at her home in Pine Knot, Kentucky and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Graveside services were held on July 14, 2020 at the T. Chitwood Cemetery in Pine Knot. Burial was also in the T. Chitwood Cemetery. She was born April 4, 1939 in Jellico, Tennessee to James and Laura Stanfill. Mary was a homemaker and a longtime member of the East Pine Knot Tabernacle Church of God. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and raising chickens. Mary had a heart for people and was always buying things and giving them away to anyone that needed them, often times doing without herself in order to provide for others. Preceding her in death were her parents, her first husband, Junior Lay, brothers, Lloyd, Paul Charles, Hugh, and Alonzo "Lonnie" Stanfill, sisters, Lena, Pearl, and Estilee, and stepdaughters, Sheila, Billie Sue, Robin, and Rita. Survivors include her husband, Robert Lamb, sisters, Leona and Christine, stepson, Robert Lamb, Jr., adopted children, Dale Bryant and Tiffany King, a special niece and nephew, Eddie Hughes and Debbie Hughes, and several step grandchildren. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mary Lamb.
