Nolan Earnie Johnson, age 71 years, 4 months, and 18 days, of Stearns passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 in Stearns, Kentucky and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. In keeping with his wishes, Nolan was cremated. Memorial services will be held at a later date. He was born March 18, 1951 in the Smithtown community to Charles Johnson and Pearl Johnson. Nolan was a member of the Whitley City Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In his spare time, he enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, and fishing. He was his happiest when spending time with his beloved family. Preceding him in death were his grandparents who raised him, Maggie and Earnie Vaughn, his brother, Jesse Sims, his sister, Regina Tapley, and his biological parents, Charles and Pearl. Survivors include his wife of forty nine years, Sondra Johnson, his daughter, Kelli Jackson and her husband, Chris, of Somerset, Ky., his son, James Johnson and his wife, Joy, of Revelo, Kentucky, 5 Grandchildren, Sydney Daugherty, Kylie'Ann Hayes, Westyn Hayes, Liam Johnson, and Bodhi Johnson, sisters-in-law, Barbara Mason of Stearns, Ky. and Cindy Strunk of Nancy, Ky., a nephew, Jared Strunk and a niece, Heather Strunk. and his Special Utah Mom, June Howard. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Nolan Johnson.
