Emmanuel Paul Perkins, age 77 years, 7 months, and 11 days of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 in Somerset, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Monday, January 9, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Hap Strunk officiating. Lucas Meadows, Chris Perkins, Josh Parsons, Brock Perkins, Jacob Genoe, and Byron Perkins served as pallbearers. Burial was in the Wood Cemetery. He was born May 25, 1939 in the Holly Hill community to Elmon Perkins and Amanda Campbell Perkins. Paul was a retired machinist with Central Kentucky Tool and Die. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Preceding him in death were his parents, and brothers, Benny Perkins, Hobart Perkins, and Dempsey Perkins. Survivors include his wife, Anna Perkins of Pine Knot, Kentucky, sons, Anthony Perkins and his wife, Lisa, of Somerset, Kentucky and Terry Perkins of Pine Knot, Kentucky, brothers, R. L. Perkins of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Harvey Perkins and his wife, Betty, of the Holly Hill community, sisters, Loretta Duncan and her husband, Ronnie, of Georgetown, Kentucky, Artie Douglas and her husband, Kenneth, and Toni Lawson and her husband, Gorman, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
