Rebecca Susan Baker age 67 years, 2 months, and 15 days of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at her home. In accordance to her wishes, Susan was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the family's farm. She was born July 19, 1949 in Somerset, Kentucky to James C. Shepherd and Thelma (King) Shepherd. Susan was a member of the Stearns First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and painting. Preceding her in death are her parents. Survivors include her son, James Michael Baker (and Karen Keeton) of Oneida, Tennessee; a sister, Charlotte Mason of Brevard, North Carolina; and a host of other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations please be made to the McCreary County Christian Care Center. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mrs. Rebecca Susan Baker.
