Lee Roy Ball, age 78 years, 2 months, and 11 days, husband of, Effie Mae Walker Ball, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at his home in Whitley City, Kentucky, and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral services were held Saturday August 5, 2023, in the Ball Cemetery.

He was born May 22, 1945, in McCreary County to Francis Ball and Flora Hamlin Ball. Roy held many different occupations, but retired from the maintenance department at the McCreary County School District. He loved to coon hunt from horses and mules, being outdoors, going camping, and traveling.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, Delmer, Donald, Kenneth, and one infant brother, sisters, Delcia Shelton, Imogene Hill, Faye Horton, and Ella Hatfield.

Survivors include his wife, Effie Ball, brother, Larry Ball, sisters, Nora Bays, Shirl Hudson, Lavonda Johnson, and Della Terry.

Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Roy Ball.
