Roy Hubert Flynn, age 75 years, 2 months, and 18 days, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. James Matthew Upchurch and Bro. James Fredrick Upchurch officiating. Burial was in the Flat Rock Cemetery. He was born May 19, 1942 in McCreary County, Kentucky to William McKinley Flynn and Emmaline Cassada Flynn. Roy attended the Day Ridge Pentacostal Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and his vintage car. But his favorite times were spent with his family and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, Archie, Lloyd, and Arthur , and sisters, Adell, Zelma, and Nina. Survivors include his wife, Susie Dick Flynn, a daughter, Sue May Flynn, both of Whitley City, a brother, Gene Flynn and his wife, Virginia, of California, and a sister, Esma Davis of Whitley City, Kentucky. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Roy Hubert Flynn.
