Gerald Shane Strunk, age 48 of Stearns, Kentucky the son of Ann Strunk and the late Jerry Strunk passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at his home from chronic heart disease and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Graveside service were held Monday, April 7, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the Pine Knot Cemetery with Bro. Roger Bryant officiating.

He was born December 28, 1976 in Somerset, Kentucky. Shane had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, baseball, and basketball. He also had a passion for collecting old coins and artifacts. Above all, Shane treasured the time spent with his family, especially his children.

Shane was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Strunk.

He is survived by his mother, Ann Strunk; sons, Garrett Strunk, Damien Strunk, Daylan Strunk, and Jaxon Strunk; daughters, Halle Strunk, Grace Strunk, and Genesis Strunk; special stepchildren, Raiden and Stevie Blakely; his sister, Angel Strunk, and nephews; Adam, Justin, and Cody Hunt.

Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Shane Strunk.
