Shirley Ann Grundy Woods, age 70 years and 2 days, passed away, Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at her home in Pine Knot, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Stephens officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jeffery Murphy, James Dick, Ronnie Wilson, Brian Murphy, Jonathon Chitwood, and Phillip Goodman. Burial was in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery. She was born January 29, 1947 in Marshes Siding, Kentucky to Earl Grundy and Goldie Mae Stephens Grundy. She was homemaker and enjoyed reading her bible, listening to gospel music, and spending time with her family and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, a son, Michael Blanton, sister, Bonnie Grundy Troxell, and brothers, Junior Grundy, Ralph Grundy, Roger Grundy, Ed Grundy, Arnold King, Arvil King, and Donald King. Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Woods of Pine Knot, Kentucky, daughters, Sheila Bolin and Stevie of Stearns, Kentucky, Debi Slaven of Stearns, Kentucky, Beth Chitwood and her husband, Greg, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Teresa Carpenter and Tom of Stearns, Kentucky, sisters, Betty Wright and her husband, Sonny, of Whitley City, Kentucky, Judy Coffey and her husband, Theodore, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Barbara Watson of Stearns, Kentucky, grandchildren, Nathaniel, whom she considered as one of her own children, Keaton, Jonathon, Chelsei, Heaven, Casey, Ashley, April, Jeffery, Lora, Brian, and Claraina, very special great granddaughter, Reagan, and several other great grandchildren.
