Thurston Coffey age 73 years, 8 months, and 28 days of Anderson, Indiana, formerly of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away at the St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Funeral services were held Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Carl "Cubby" Clark officiating. Burial followed in the Corder Cemetery. He was born December 26, 1941 in Wolf Creek, Kentucky to Henry E. Coffey and Minnie (Jones) Coffey. Thurston was a member of the Lower Wolf Creek Baptist Church and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and attending family gatherings. Preceding him in death is his father, and a sister, Sally Ruth Oglesby. Survivors include his wife, Sue (Gibson) Coffey; son Clayton Scott Coffey, of Anderson, Indiana; his mother, Minnie Coffey of Stearns, Kentucky; brothers, Lowell Coffey and wife Donna, and Joe Coffey, all of Stearns, Kentucky; sisters, Alice Coffey and husband, Curtis, of Anderson, Indiana, Doris Ann Ross and husband, Gary, of Batavio, Ohio, and Jean Waters and husband, Steve, of Stearns, Kentucky; brother-in-law, Jim Oglesby; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mr. Thurston Coffey.
