Walter "Buck" Tucker, age 61, of Whitley City, passed away on Monday, October 14th, 2024 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, and was placed into the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 17th, 2024 at 1:00pm, in the Chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. The family received friends after 11:00 am until the funeral hour. Burial followed in the Carter Cemetery.

Buck was born to Walter and Julia (Jones) Tucker on December 14th, 1962 in Oneida, Tennessee. He graduated High School from the McCreary Central High School and attended Cumberland College in Williamsburg. After school, Buck picked up carpentry and became a self-employed carpenter, and also worked with Blue Ridge Homes of Whitley City. He loved playing with all of his little kiddos. Buck loved watching cowboy, mystery, and war shows and every evening he would be watching WWE. He did not always get to see his kids. But he loved them with everything in him and was very proud of them. Buck loved building and fixing things, but even more he loved the look on someone's face when they saw the creation he had made for them.

Buck is preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Tommy Tucker and Stanley Tucker.

Buck is survived by his mother, Julia Tucker, of Whitley City, his loving partner of sixteen and a half years, Cristy Lewis, his children, William "Eddie" Tucker, of Corbin, Brandi McFadden and her husband, JB, of London, Zach Bird, of London, Marybeth Caldwell, and her husband, Bryan, of Somerset, Rocky Lewis and his wife Leighanna, of Williamsburg, and Joshua Lewis of Corbin, his grandchildren, Lexi Woolum, Kailee and AJ McFadden, Abby Bird, Rachel and Caroline Bowman, Davin, Suraya, Liam, and Zeke Lewis, and many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
