Wiley Everett King, age 80 years, 2 months, and 7 days, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 17, 2022, in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Upper Cal Hill Cemetery.

He was born October 7, 1942 in Revelo, Kentucky to Herbert Willis King and Stella Mae Ball King. Wiley was employed with Chrysler for thirty years before his retirement and was a member of the United Auto Workers #371 in New Castle, Indiana. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Wiley never met a stranger and would talk to anyone and everyone.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Katherine Smith King, his brother, Donald King, and sisters, Joyce Watson and Ruth Powell.

Survivors include his son, James King and his wife, Wendy, of Indianapolis, his daughter, Rochelle King Coghill and her husband, Steve, of Fishers, Indiana; grandchildren, Serica, Jordan, and Cullen King, four great grandchildren, Lucy, Hudson, Katherine, and Emma; brothers, Borden Edward King, Bobby Allen King, and William Arthur King; and a sister, Elizabeth Elaine Byrd.
