Willis "Wig" King, age 81, husband of Norma King, passed away on December 4th, 2024 at Baptist Health Corbin and was placed into the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 7th, 2024 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Masonic funeral rites were held on Friday, December 6th, 2024 at 7:30pm in the Chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Visitation was Friday, December 6th, 2024 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm in the Chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Burial followed the service in the Pine Knot Cemetery.

Willis was born to James and Edna (Strunk) King on July 21, 1943 in Co-operative, Kentucky. He married the love of his life, Norma Martin, on June 30, 1962. Willis proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving in Vietnam achieving the rank of E-5. He worked and retired as a coal miner for the Stearns Coal and Lumber Company after working 20 years, running a continuous miner, and as a farmer. He was a member of the Orie S. Ware Masonic Lodge. Willis enjoyed spending his time outdoors, especially fishing. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ronald King, and his sister Shonda Martin.

He is survived by his wife, Norma King, his brothers, Ralph King and his wife Ruth, of Arkansas, Lindell King and his wife Debbie, of Pine Knot, and Dale King and his wife Carmen, of Virginia, his sisters, Sue Cornett and her husband Bristo, of Pine Knot, and Sheila King of Muncie, IN., and many nieces and nephews.
