Obituary for Bobby Joe Worley
Bobby Joe Worley age 75 years and 9 months of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at his home.
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Marshes Siding Church of God with Bro. Hurstle Daugherty and Bro. Harry Watters officiating. Burial followed in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery.
He was born January 8, 1939 in McCreary County, Kentucky to Howard Worley and Myrtle (Barnett) Worley. Bobby was a Deacon of the Marshes Siding Church of God. He was a retired engineer for the Big South Fork Scenic Railroad and had previously owned Lindy's Music and Trading Post. Bobby was a member of the Honorable order of Kentucky Colonels and the Orie S. Ware Lodge for over 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, travelling, and playing music.
Preceding him in death is his father.
Survivors include his wife, Linda (Hoskins) Worley, whom he married July 15, 1961; his mother, Myrtle Worley, of Marshes Siding, Kentucky; a brother, Jim Worley and wife, Darlene, of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; and a host of extended family and friends.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mr. Bobby Joe Worley.
