David Eric Young Strunk 41 years, 6 months, and 5 days of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at his home. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Hap Strunk officiating. Burial followed in the Strunk Family Cemetery.
He was born August 29, 1972 in Licking, Ohio to David A. Strunk and Delores (Bissett) Young. Eric was of the Christian faith and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Eric was also a football fanatic, he loved watching and supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers. But above all, Eric loved spending time and caring for his sons.
Preceding him in death is a stepfather, Whitey Young.
Survivors include his wife, Misti (Blakley) Strunk, whom he married May 29, 1998; sons, David Andrew Strunk and Brenzen Wayne Strunk; his father, David Strunk of Pine Knot, Kentucky; his mother, Delores Young of Zanesville, Ohio; a brother, Shawn Young and wife, Lora, of Zanesville, Ohio; a sister, Carrie Lynn During and husband, Craig; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mr. David Eric Young Strunk.
