Dora Coffey, age 96 years, 6 months passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. George Allen Coffey and Bro. Delmus Watson officiating.
She was born October 9, 1920 in Co-Operative, Kentucky to Thomas Dobbs, and Julie Jones Dobbs. Dora was a charter member and the oldest member of Cherokee United Baptist Church. She enjoyed church, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Clyde Estill Coffey, whom she married January 11, 1940, and one son, Harold Coffey, and two daughters, Helen Panko, and Kathryn Cossman, six brothers, Sherdie, Parker, Josh, Perk, Jacob "Job" Dobbs, and an infant brother, five sisters, Mary and Bessie Dobbs, Lillie and Ester Coffey, and Edith Dobies, and one great-grandson, Joshua Keith Jones.
Survivors include a son, Norman Coffey, of Stearns, Kentucky, one daughter, Opal Stewart, of Stearns, Kentucky, one son in law, Stanley Cossman, fourteen grandchildren and twenty seven great-grandchildren.
