Edith Dobies age 85 years, 6 months, and 2 days of Stearns, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the UK Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. George Allen Coffey officiating. Burial followed in the Sherd Dobbs Cemetery.
She was born September 12, 1929 in Stearns, Kentucky to Thomas and Julie (Jones) Dobbs. Edith was s member of the Cherokee Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping, and playing with her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; son, Johnny Dobies, Jr.; brothers, Sherd Dobbs, Parkers Dobbs, Perk Dobbs, Jobe Dobbs, and Josh Dobbs; one infant brother; sisters, Mary Dobbs, Lillie Coffey, Bessie Dobbs, and Esther Coffey.
Survivors include her sons, Steve Dobies of Strongsville, Ohio and Rodney Dobies of Stearns, Kentucky; daughter, Paula Kozumplik of Strongsville, Ohio; sister, Dora Coffey of Stearns, Kentucky; nine grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Ms. Edith Dobies.
