Emma Jean  Coffey
Emma Jean Coffey, age 75 years, 4 months, and 5 days, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 23, 2018 at her home in Stearns, Kentucky surrounded by her family.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. George Allen Coffey and Bro. Dewey Dunnagan officiating. Burial was in the McCreary Memorial Gardens.
She was born April 18, 1943 in Coopersville, Kentucky to the late Gale and Anna Marie ( Burnett ) Foster. Emma Jean was member of the Bethel United Baptist Church in Parmleysville and had worked in Quality Control for the ABC factory. Her love for children gave her a calling to be a foster grandparent with the McCreary County School Board and work with Save the Children. She enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling to Gatlinburg, and spending time with her beloved family. Emma was a devout Christian and a devoted wife, mother and, grandmother she will be remembered for her spiritual guidance and her profound words of wisdom.
Preceding her in death were her parents, son, Terry Wade Coffey, infant daughter, Lisa Carol Coffey, brother, John David Foster, and a granddaughter, Allison Hope Coffey.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 59 years, Perk Coffey of Stearns, Kentucky, sons, Ronnie Coffey and his wife, Teresa ,of Albany, Kentucky, Tony Coffey and his wife, Rhonda, of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, a daughter, Pamela Snyder and her husband, Richard, of Stearns, Kentucky, grandson she raised as her own, Brandon Coffey and his wife, Ashley, brother Gale Foster and his wife, Rita ,of Fletcher, North Carolina, sisters, Ruth Hill of Smithtown, Kentucky, and Barbara Dishman of Monticello, Kentucky, grandchildren, Annessa, Jason, Bud, Misti, Alisha, Terrance, and Dakota, twenty four great grandchildren and a host of wonderful relatives and friends as well.
